Welcome to the Summer Reading Blog! Here, you will engage in conversation with each other about the texts you're assigned this summer. I'm asking all of you to read a book called Breathing In, Breathing Out by Ralph Fletcher. This is a skinny little book with big impact. This is a non-fiction book about keeping a notebook, something I'm going to ask each of you to do, beginning now (or soon, at least). Hopefully you'll enjoy this book and take as much away from reading it as I did when I first read it.
Each section of English III has its own page (see list, right) with directions particular to the books you're reading this summer. So check out your class's page before doing anything else.
If you'd like to post a general comment about the blog, you can do so below, but there is a place on each class's page for postings about the actual books.
One last thing: when I get the year's reading list sorted out, I'll add it to the blog.
Happy Summer!
Ms. R
AUGUST PS: When you go to post a comment, type your comment in the box at the bottom of your class page; you will be asked to "post as" (there's a drop-down menu). CHOOSE GOOGLE ACCOUNT AND USE YOUR NEW MCAULEY EMAIL (like this: susie.smith13@mcauleyhs.org) when you are prompted to create an blogger account -- you'll need it for other classes, I'm sure. You can preview your comment before you post it. Your comment will appear as my sample comments do for others to read and comment on. Cheers! Email me if you have questions. Ms. R
